At Restobar Las Peñas, we believe that our duty as a restaurant and as members of the community is to take care of the planet and minimize our environmental impact in everything we do.
To achieve this, we have implemented a variety of sustainable practices, and many more are on the way. We believe that every small action can make a big difference, and we are committed to helping protect the planet.
Whith local producers
First and foremost, we ensure that our ingredients are responsibly and sustainably sourced. We work with local producers and carefully select those who follow sustainable farming practices, such as organic agriculture and the production of hormone-free and antibiotic-free meat. Additionally, we design menus that avoid wasting any part of the product.
With renewable energy
Regarding the energy we use, we are working to implement renewable sources, such as solar panels to provide clean and sustainable energy. We also use low-energy light bulbs and maintain the appropriate temperature to reduce energy consumption.
With recycling waste
Another important aspect of our sustainability is proper waste management. We recycle and compost food and packaging, significantly reducing the amount of trash we send to landfills. We use eco-friendly packaging and delivery options, such as paper bags and bioplastic containers. Additionally, we are currently developing an acoustic conditioning system for our dining room using wine corks.
With non-profit organizations
We collaborate with non-profit organizations and community groups to organize events and activities that promote sustainability and environmental education. We believe that education is key to fostering positive change, and we are committed to doing our part to inform the community about best sustainable practices.
